In part 3 of this series on overcoming common temptations, pastor Mike Fritscher continues his discussion of the sin of pride! Pride is the propensity to have our own way, to do our own thing. It's a life lived for self, and not for God! Scripture warns, "let him who think he stands take heed lest he fall." Yet, as with all temptations, God promises to provide a way of escape. Jesus Christ is the only way of escape from pride! And how did Jesus overcome pride? Scripture says, "He humbled himself." To overcome pride, we likewise must walk in a lifestyle of humility! How do we do this? How do we humble ourselves before God?
